The February Photo a Day Challenge - Day 1 “your view today”

So I never usually get involved in these ‘photo a day’ challenges. I see em all the time on facebook but when @TheTomMontague  tweeted the link to me, @SpamellaB and  @SamyJade  I thought “what the heck!” and got involved!

It’s created by Chantelle Ellem from FatMumSlim blog, where by you either tweet, put on facebook, tumblr, you’re blog, a photo that corresponds with that day!

So here’s how to play [taken from FatMumSlim]

  1. Use the list above as inspiration and take a photo everyday. For example for number one on the list, ‘your view today’ you’d take a shot of whatever it is that you can see today. This would be a wider shot of your office space, where you went for a walk, or whatever it is that you can see!
  2. Share on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, your blog or where ever it is you want to share. If you’re sharing on Instagram or Twitter use the hashtag #FEBphotoaday so everyone can find them. There’s a great community around the photo sharing, so do share!
  3. Check out everyone else’s pictures. I do it before I go to bed each night and it’s so fun to see how different everyone’s photos are. There are people from every corner of the world playing.

Photo of the Day - “Your View Today”

Since I’ve been dying on the sofa from what I can only describe as ‘plague like symptoms’ [in other words; sorethroat, headache.. you get the jist], I’ve had a good full view on my parents back garden and my cats face. Now Smokey-Joe has been stood outside staring in all chuffing day. I get up off the sofa,  crawl over to the door to let him in and the bugger just walks away. That’s right. Meows his head off, pleading and begging to be let in  but then when I open the door,  just casually walks back up the garden path *sigh*

But apart from that, I do love my parents back garden. For one, it’s like a pet cemetery back there. All my pets have been buried in that back garden such as my4 hamsters; Little Reggie, Peeky, Chewy and Marly. 1 budgie called Joey, my beloved cat’s Tufty and Lilly, my bearded dragon Phoenix and a Gecko called Gex, Thumper and Bobby the rabbits and birds that my cats have killed. Now before you think we’re pet serial killers, I can assure you we had a lot of pets in my 24 years growing up at my parents!

Another memory I have of the back garden was the huge swing set my dad built for me out of pieces of wood, tyres, swing seats, rope etc!  I used to love swinging away on my swing, singing at the top of my voice [much to my neighbours and mums dismay] and then like a little psycho… I would just leap off when it was in mid swing. Then my mum had a ‘brilliant’ idea to plant some conifers behind the swings which ended up inviting a million spiders to live in them. So I would only have a limited space to swing as I didn’t want to even swing into those conifers with those spiders there. Sadly, the inevitable did happen and I swung into the biggest spiders web which was home to the biggest spider and that was the last time I ever went on that swing.
